Trakker on the Road: What, When and Where

Posted by: Trakker on February 12th, 2016

2016 is shaping-up to be a busy year for Trakker in terms of getting out there and taking our range directly to our audience. We’ve only recently returned from the packed-out Brentwood Carp Show, where we exhibited our current range of products to a wide range of anglers keen to check out the latest releases, with particular interest being shown in the ultra-lightweight Tempest Brolly and it’s dedicated range of accessories, and also the ever-popular NXG range of luggage. If you weren’t amongst the thousands who attended the Brentwood Carp Show, then never fear, as we’ll be attending another five UK carp shows and events between now and July, and with the events being quite evenly spread across the country, there’s never been a better opportunity to check out our range in person, and meet some of the team.

Saturday 20th & Sunday 21st February 2016

Northern Angling Show @ Event City, Manchester

The Northern Angling Show is, quite simply, one of our favourite events to attend. Held at the fabulous Event City (conveniently located right next door to the Trafford Centre), this huge show caters for all disciplines of coarse fishing, and features a main stage lineup of speakers including ITV’s The Big Fish Off presenters Ali Hamidi and Dean Macey, Great Rod Race stars Matt Hayes and Mick Brown, Carp Team England manager Rob Hughes, and many more.

A captivated audience take in one of the main-stage talks at NAS 2015.

Of course, over on the Trakker stand you’ll be able to check out our range, including the awesome Tempest v2 Bivvy System, our full range of NXG luggage, landing nets, barrows and more. We’ll be joined on the stand by team members Darrell Peck, Jim Wilson, and Jon ‘Shoes’ Jones, so it’s well worth paying us a visit just to pick the brains of these angling heroes.

Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th March 2016

The Carpin’ On Show @ Five Lakes Resort, Essex

The Carpin’ On Show is now in it’s 15th year, and it’s hardly surprising. Organised by the publishers of Carpworld, Carp-Talk, and Crafty Carper magazines, and featuring a diverse main stage lineup that boasts big-hitters including Terry Hearn and Darrell Peck, Carpin’ On is truly a showcase for everything carp-related.

We’re mega-excited for this one too, as Carpin’ On will also be the first show where we will be exhibiting our new product releases for Spring/Summer 2016, so if you’re the type of angler who likes to keep up-to-date with the latest kit available, then Carpin’ On deserves a slot in your diary!

Saturday 19th & Sunday 20th March 2016

The Big One @ Farnborough International

You don’t call a show The Big One without good reason, and with an exhibition space of 17,250q metres, it’s certainly a justified claim. Covering all disciplines of coarse fishing (and a bit more besides), The Big One is truly enormous, and is often the go-to show for anglers looking to pick up a bargain from the numerous retailers in attendance.

Of course, we’ll be there with our latest releases for Spring/Summer 2016, and the sheer size of the area we take over at this show means we’ll be able to display almost our entire range of bivvies, brollies, beds, chairs, luggage and more. We’ll be working closely with our friends at Danson Angling at this one, so don’t forget to check them out for some special show-exclusive offers on Trakker products you’re likely to find anywhere else that weekend.

Saturday 9th April 2016

Cast Away Cancer @ Packington Broadwater, Warwickshire

Now in it’s third year, and thanks to the efforts of the hard-working team behind the scenes, this event has gone from strength-to-strength, raising nearly £30,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support along the way. This year the guys are are aiming to raise £15,000, which would be their biggest single-event total to date, and with the trade and many familiar faces within the scene giving them much-needed support, they are certainly headed in the right direction.

What Where When 2016 – News – Trakker

We’ll be showcasing our range at Cast Away Cancer again this year.

The event takes the form of a 48-hour charity carp match, however, Saturday sees the fishery gates opened to the public, allowing flocks of supporters to join the organisers and participants for a fund-raising BBQ with fun and games including prize raffles, blackouts, maggot racing and more. Whilst there, visitors will be able to check out our latest releases, alongside a selection of our bivvies, brollies and shelters, beds, sleeping bags, luggage and more. Those attending will also get the chance to pick the brains of Team Trakker members Darrell Peck and James Hibbard, and also browse the deals on offer from Midlands’ megastore Fosters of Birmingham, who will also be supporting the event for the second year running.

Saturday 2nd & Sunday 3rd July 2016

Carp In The Park @ Billing Aquadrome

We’re crossing everything in the hope that the first weekend in July brings glorious sunshine, as we’ll be down at Billing Aquadrome for Carp In The Park’s second year. With an outside-the-box approach to carp shows, the organisers (who are also the team behind Total Carp and Advanced Carp Fishing magazines) plan to create an experience with a very relaxed, social vibe. Alongside the more common attractions such as big-name brand exhibitors and a number of top retailers, you’ll find anglers in session around the waterside, where you’ll be able to pick their brains and check-out hands-on product demos from the experts. There’ll also be a main stage with talks, Q&As and slideshows from some of the biggest names in carp angling, but from there on in, things get a little bit different… Attendees can opt to bivvy-up on site, and enjoy live music on the main stage in what promises to be one giant ‘social’.

Again, we’ll be there with a huge selection of our latest and greatest gear for you to get your hands on, and we’ll be joined for the first time by Ricci and the team from FishOn Online Tackle, who’ll be retailing our products across the weekend.
