Dave Levy has fished from the age of six, spending the first few years catching roach before joining a local fishing club. By the age of 12 he was doing fairly well winning the odd match.

In the 80's he started to start to fish for carp after seeing an angler land a 14lb mirror. In his first season fishing for carp, Dave landed seven carp, the best weighing just 9lb. Things really turned around during the next year and he caught 90 carp, landing his first 20 in 1987. Dave has now been carp fishing for 23 years and has caught carp from many waters, some very well known such as Sutton at Hone, The Brook and Manor Farm Essex. Most of his angling at the present time is done on quite challenging waters.
