Jon ‘Shoes’ Jones

Team Trakker

‘Shoes’ started fishing at around 7 years old, joining his Dad on trips and having little competitions on who would catch the most, and claims that if it wasn’t for these trips, he doesn’t  think he would be in the industry today.

He started carp fishing properly at about 15 years of age, after spotting a large carp whilst on a fishing trip on the canal with his father, and vowing to himself to catch one of a similar size. From that day on he was hooked, and tells us: “I would walk miles with my gear to the nearest lakes to catch small single figure carp. Once I could drive then the world was my oyster”.

When Jon started working in the industry in 1999 for RHAP and the BCAC, he was lucky enough to travel around the world fishing for carp.

‘Shoes’ loves designing fishing tackle and has been doing it for a very long time, and vows to continue to help Trakker develop and design new and exciting products for years to come.
