Sam Cheetham

Team Trakker

Sam Cheetham first caught the angling bug at the ripe old age of four when his father and grandfather introduced him into the sport. Ever since that day, Sam has lived and breathed angling in some shape or form.

After entering large coarse angling matches for several years, Sam solely turned his attentions to carp in 1999, spending as much time as he physically could on the bank, fishing venues up and down the country. Sam prefers to keep himself to himself when it comes to carp angling, fishing the lower stock, less pressured venues, in search of the dark old warriors that lie beneath. Sam brings over nine years of angling trade experience from his time working for Climax Tackle in Sheffield.  Sam now works full-time in the Trakker offices alongside Matt Quibell in the Product Development team, striving to bring Trakker to the ‘top of the angling tree’. Outside of fishing, Sam has played semi-professional football for a number of years and is a keen athlete having competed for South Yorkshire at Athletics.
