FAQs

Would the new accessories fit older style bivvies?

Accessories are only designed to be used with the actual model they correspond with.

Why is the material between wraps, skull caps and bivvies a different colour?

There may also be some variance in colours between batches and dye lots. Our technical department go to great lengths to control the colour, but if the actual shade of a colour is critical, we recommend you purchase your bivvies and accessories at the same time.

Trakker Products take no responsibility for colour variation between newer and older bivvy models, as the colour may change as the product is updated.

What is the best way to wash my sleeping bag and keep it fresher in use?

Firstly please refer to the specific washing instructions which you will find on a permanent sewn-in label inside the sleeping bag. Regularly follow these instructions and your sleeping bag will remain as clean possible for as long as possible.

If you have an older sleeping model of sleeping bag without wash instructions, we generally recommend washing at 30 degrees and allowing to dry naturally.

We also recommend the use of our Revive Sleeping Bag “anti-bac” wash as an additional way of keeping your sleeping bag cleaner and fresher for longer. This specialist wash-in treatment will minimise the development of odours in the sleeping bag during use.

What is the best way to wash my water repellent apparel and maintain its water repellent effect?

Firstly please refer to the specific washing instructions which you will find on a permanent sewn-in label inside the apparel item. Regularly follow these instructions and your clothing will remain as clean possible for as long as possible.

We also recommend the regular use of our Revive Apparel Wash and Apparel Re-proofer.

This system has been designed to first gently clean the water repellent garment and then re-proof it so as to maintain its water repellent effects.

This will keep the garment clean and also maximise its water repellent properties so keeping the wearer drier for longer.
