I have noticed that my Aquatexx bivvy (or Aquatexx bivvy accessory) has changed colour over time – is this a fault?

Our bivvies are designed to be used for long periods exposed to all of the elements – rain, wind and of course the sun – and under normal usage conditions our bivvies will give long trouble free service.

All of our bivvy fabrics are manufactured using dyes with the best possible resistance to UV light so as to minimise the impact of sunlight of the colour of the bivvy.

However even with the use of those specialist dyes after prolonged exposure to sunlight some fading of the colour will inevitably occur therefore we strongly recommend that whenever possible the bivvy should be sited in a position which is as shaded as possible.

If you use wraps or other fabric accessories on your bivvy and those accessories are exposed to more or less sunlight than the main bivvy itself then the impact of sunlight will over extended periods cause different level of shade change to the various components. This is obviously unavoidable.

Please note shade change due to the impact of sunlight is not covered under our warranty.
