Ali Hamidi

Team Trakker

Ali Hamidi started angling at the age of 10. His early fishing memories are fishing for eels on a little brook before he progressed to hand lining for rudd at his local pits in the close season! However, by the age of 11, he was fully in the swing of coarse fishing and after he caught his first carp, the rest as they say is history.

He’s a hugely passionate angler that loves catching many different species, but his true love is carp fishing. Ali was instrumental in getting carp fishing on Sky Sports back in early 2000 and has been regular face in the angling media ever since. He has been a loyal Trakker user since the birth of the brand and see’s his consultancy with Trakker as a ‘natural progression’. He added, ‘when you are in the fortunate position of being a recognised figure and influential in any industry, you have various different deals and sponsorship opportunities thrown at you, but my choices are made purely on quality, design and the products they have to offer as opposed to who offers the most money for your services! My love of Trakker products stems back a very long time and it’s brilliant to play an even more influential role in how the company develops in the future’.
