Jerry Hammond is a life-long angler who has always been obsessed with everything to do with water and the creatures living beneath the surface layers.
As a kid Jerry used to spend the entire summer holidays playing around local lakes, collecting newts, tadpoles and whatever else he could find! Catching fish soon followed suit, although Jerry’s fishing took a backseat when he enlisted in the army spending seven happy years serving in the Queens Regiment. After his army days, Jerry’s fishing continued to develop and he soon caught the carping bug. Over the years his angling has changed from just wanting to catch carp, to a burning desire to target certain big fish. Jerry’s angling challenges have taken him to some of the toughest waters in England – Sutton At Hone, Yateley Car Park Lake, Toll Pits and Horton, to name just a few. Ten years ago he moved into an anglers dream home, when he bought a house on the River Lea. Currently Jerry manages three fantastic carp lakes, while his spare time is occupied with his own angling, spending time with his family, plus his other passion – fitness training and pumping iron at the gym.
