Rick Golder has been carp fishing since the mid-1980’s and bar the odd bit of roach fishing with his sons, he targets nothing but carp all year round.
Rick is a family man and also works full-time hence why his fishing time is very limited and extremely precious to him. Rick’s sole motivation is chasing big carp from different waters, and he relishes the challenge of fishing different venues and testing his theories on them. He has fished some fantastic places in his fishing career including: Yateley, The Road Lake, Crayfish Pool, Wellington Country Park and Dinton Pastures. Rick is presently fishing a lake in the historic Colne Valley and he is also involved in the running of a small syndicate which contains some truly awesome carp. Rick loves margin and close range fishing, and his skills lie in bait placement and baiting strategies. Rick tells us that he’s not massively into rigs, and he sticks to a few that work well for him. Despite his limited time on the bank, his time is always spent wisely time to locate fish and fishing hard whenever he gets the chance. Rick has have no room in his angling for products that don’t work or let him down, and he is proud to be affiliated with Trakker, who produce what he considers to be the best equipment for his angling.
